About

My name is Linda Armistead. I am a first generation American from Italian immigrants.

Which means, I love bread.

In fact, I grew up loving all things bread-ish.

Pizza, pasta, cookies…I guess that’s not exclusive to Italians, but I grew up where food=love and, boy, did we have a lot of love!

It ended up becoming a destructive love affair that I battled for most of my life and would have ended my life if I didn’t finally get a handle on it.

Now that I have won the battle, it doesn’t mean the war is over.

It’s not all unicorns and rainbows once you get to your goal weight! But, I have learned the skills it takes to manage this disease (yes, I believe obesity is a disease), and I have made it my life’s work to help others manage theirs’.

Through my knowledge as an RN and first hand experience in the trenches of this war, I am here to help you in the fight. Life can be sweet, even without cookies 🙂

  2. Hi Linda, This is Jenny Jo. I wanted to touch base with you and let you know that Google shut down all of my sewing blogs, garden log, book blog, & my weight loss blog & I’m not sure why or what they were calling SPAM. Don’t know how Weight Loss is SPAM. I am setting up another blog for now, called Jenny Jo’s Homestead. Here’s the link: http://www.jennyjoshomestead.blogspot.com/ . I will be looking into a WordPress Blog or maybe Blue Host. Looking forward to your writings!

  3. I’m currently 170lbs 5″7′ and on day 4 of a 1500 cal/day diet with plenty of protein. This is the second time my weight as hit this peak. Once was 2 years ago when I go down to 135lbs after 6 months of dieting. unfortunately 2 years after reaching my goal weight im back to the weight. damn. I just wanted to say your blog inspired me, and hopefully I will get back down to a healthy weight again, and keep it there.
